Lab Testing & NSF Certificates

Phoenix Gravity Water Filter - Certified Purity

At Phoenix, everything revolves around confidence in what you drink. That's why our filters are rigorously tested and certified by independent laboratories, including the globally recognized NSF International (USA) – the standard for drinking water safety.

NSF/ANSI 42 Certification

The Phoenix Gravity Water Filter has been officially tested to the NSF/ANSI 42 standard . This means:

  • No harmful chemicals or substances in the filter material.
  • No unwanted substances that leach into the water.
  • Safety and performance have been independently confirmed.

The test results show that no harmful substances were found in the filtered water. All levels remained below detectable limits. This is remarkable, as the test was conducted for more than 150 different contaminants , including:

  • PFAS (such as PFOA)
  • Microplastics
  • Formaldehyde
  • Nitrosamines
  • Heavy metals (such as lead, cadmium, bismuth, uranium)
  • Solvents and pesticides
  • Plasticizers (such as bisphenol A, phthalates)
  • Volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
  • Industrial by-products

Key test results (source: NSF Report J-00498121, 2025):

  • Silver-impregnated carbon filters show no detection of:
    • PFOA, PFOS: not detectable (ND)
    • Lead: not detectable
    • Benzol, toluene, xylenes: not detectable
    • Formaldehyde: not detectable
    • Bisphenol A: not detectable
    • Pesticides: not demonstrable
  • Physical properties of water after filtering:
    • pH remains stable around 6.4 – neutral and drinkable
    • Healthy minerals such as calcium and magnesium are retained

What does this mean for you as a user?

With Phoenix you can be sure:

  • Your water is free from harmful substances , even those you cannot see or taste.
  • Your filter is safe to use , even in the long term.
  • You do not get any microparticles or chemicals in your drinking water from the filter itself.
  • You can count on a naturally fresh taste thanks to the activated carbon and silver.

Extensive laboratory testing

The filter was tested in the NSF laboratory in Ann Arbor, USA, according to EPA methods (such as EPA 200.8 and EPA 524.2). Both the filter material and the filtered water were examined. Even under extreme conditions, no contamination was found.
